Hungary is home to many interesting and exciting recipes. Undoubtedly the most famous of Hungarian dishes is goulash, which is known as “gulyás” or “gulyásleves”. However, goulash has also become popular in many other countries, and has generally been adapted to suit local tastes and use local ingredients - and thus many people do not know what real Hungarian goulash tastes like.
Hungarian goulash is made as a soup, although the cooking process used does mean that is actually a very thick soup. The traditional way of preparing goulashis over an open fire, by cooking in a cauldron known as a “bográc”. The recipe for goulash in fact derives from dishes prepared by the cattlemen of the Great Hungarian Plain (which lies partly within in Hungary, but also extends into other countries).

Could it really be true? Can chocolate really be good for you? I was floored (and very happy) when I heard on the news recently that researchers have discovered that chocolate has some health benefits associated with it. Curiosity got the best of me and I went and did a little more research. Surprisingly, I found many articles on the web that agree with this discovery. Apparently chocolate contains what are called flavonols, which are high in antioxidants. What is even better is that these flavonols can help lower high blood pressure and high cholesterol and potentially prevent blood clots. It can also give a mild energy boost, decrease anxiety, relieve pain, and make a person feel happier.

Chocolate coins are the new way to advertise and market products and services. The corporate world is always coming up with new and catchy ways to advertise their products and chocolate coins can advertise company logos or be used as an incentive program for personnel. Employees of the month programs are a good place to use these chocolate coins to reward the hard working individuals. Many chocolate companies are using a new technology called chocolography to transfer images and logos on to pieces of chocolate to create individual pieces. The new technology allows an image, picture or message to be transferred on to the surface of the chocolate. Some companies are giving these corporate logo chocolate coins to business people attending business meetings, for trade show promotions and to thank their clients for their business. One chocolate coin company has creatively designed a clamshell case for the coins to rest in, thereby protecting the coin for transportation and for a greater effect in advertising.

In the village the streets are quiet and empty. It is a little after midday and the children are at school, the adults going about their daily routine in the fields higher up the slope of the volcano. The only noise is the occasional cackle of hens and a mournful mooing coming from the dairy sheds in the centre of the town. Sunlight filters through the canopy of taller trees, speckling the coffee grown below in a pleasant, clear half-light. The coffee trees are a mixture of Arabica, with some taller Liberica trees reaching up to fill gaps left in the canopy above. The trees, without exception, are laden with coffee cherries, red and ripening under the warm Indonesian sun.

Most everyone has heard the term, “organic,” but are these products really better for consumers?
Organic Products are defined by The Organic Trade Association, as a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers. These foods or products have been processed very little without any artificial ingredients or preservatives, which more and more people are looking for.
Americans are becoming more and more environmentally aware these days and you likely have noticed that organic products are becoming more popular everywhere you seem to go.

Chicken is probably the most popular, the most versatile and one of the best-loved foods on the planet.
It’s also the most abused and taken for granted!
There are chickens and chickens, and not all chickens are created equal.
In the UK and USA we seem to have become obsessed with the idea of cheap food. And the cheaper the better! If we can go along to our local supermarket and buy a chicken for a couple of pounds or a few dollars, we become wildly overjoyed and start acting like we have discovered some sort of culinary Holy Grail.

Belgium is well-known through out the world for Ardennes pateé, Belgian chocolate, beers, and of course waffles. French fries (Dutch: Frieten; French: Frites) are extremely popular in Belgium, and many people say the best place to have them is from the ubiquitous stalls found in most Belgian squares, known as “frituur” or “frietkot” (Dutch), or “friture” (French).
The country also has a lot more too offer too - indeed many people say that Belgian cuisine offers the quality of French cuisine but with the portion sizes that you get in German cuisine, and there is in fact a certain truth to that.
